A group of us are gathering at Karen Gadbois’ house this afternoon to make signs for tomorrow’s protest at the Cabildo.
I may or may not be able to attend the protest, but if you are, here are the details:
New Orleans citizens, fed up with the resurgence of violent crime in their city, will stage a protest in front of the Cabildo on Jackson Square on Monday, July 16 at 6 a.m. to demand the resignation of District Attorney Eddie Jordan.
We hope that you’ll participate in this peaceful demonstration. Those interested should be in front of the Cabildo at 5:30 a.m. on Monday (to catch the live broadcast of Good Morning America). We ask that you bring signs and wear something white. For further information, please email resignnowjordan@yahoo.com. And please encourage your friends to attend!
As much as I want to do this, 5:30 AM is NOT doable. I’m the night shift.
My Blog will suffice.
