Day 327: A Trip To Algiers Point

Amanda has moved across the river to Algiers Point instead of leaving town altogether. *There was much rejoicing!* Rent on a well-equipped shotgun in a decent and relatively safe neighborhood is much more bearable over yonder, and parking is available and free (always worth saving up for).

Our weekend rumbles in the Quarter may be dampened by the R word – Responsibility – someone has to remain responsible, for there will be no more crashing at The Royal Royal Street Bachelorette Pad. That is but a small impediment in light of the big silver lining – my girl is staying in New Orleans for now, and prepares for the week-long Louisiana Bar Exam which starts on Monday. Back to plying her with home cooking and hot coffee …

As long as you can stagger to the ferry, everything else should take care of itself.

Or that’s the way it used to work.

Then again, I usually had somebody around to help me walk.
