The Most Important Thing We Learn From History

Today we celebrate the legacy of a great, just and heroic man, and start one of the longest weeks of the year – the one of the re-anointment of the most extreme travesties of American contractarianism in recent time. Today, and everyday after, let us remember Martin Luther King, Jr. who told us back in 1963, in a letter from Birmingham Jail, never to forget “that everything Adolf Hitler did in Germany was ‘legal.'” Today we reclaim our future as a civilized nation.
