As a former Irish Channel resident, walking Magazine seems trivial. We didn’t consider Magazine to be part of the Channel, it was more of a boundary between us and the “rich people” in Garden District.

They’re not “walking Magazine”, they just start and end on Magazine. Here’s the route on the site linked to by Maitri:

Route: START: Sophie’s Ice Cream Parlor, 1912 Magazine St., 7pm SHARP! Turn LEFT out of the ice cream parlor and LEFT onto Josephine St. Follow Josephine to Chippewa St. Turn RIGHT onto Chippewa and proceed across Jackson Ave. Continue on Chippewa to Clay Playground. Walk across Clay Playground and continue LEFT on Annunciation St. Turn RIGHT on Eighth St. and LEFT on Magazine St. STOP: Rue de la Course coffeehouse, 3121 Magazine St.

I did the CBD to Central City walk and it was fascinating. It’s not a walk I would have normally taken alone and even though I ride through Central City by bike pretty regularly, we got pretty far off the beaten path for non-neighborhood residents. Rev. Raphael was with us and apparently he knows pretty much everybody.
