Day 1233: Punching The Air

Telegraph.co.uk | President George Bush: ‘Goodbye from the world’s biggest polluter’

The American leader, who has been condemned throughout his presidency for failing to tackle climate change, ended a private meeting with the words: “Goodbye from the world’s biggest polluter.”

He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock.

Maitri is clever. You see, it’s not enough for the President to exhibit pride in destroying the world’s atmosphere through allowing the release of harmful industrial emissions. He also has to swipe at the atmosphere with his actual fists.

Did I pass my joke-explaining exam?

Actually, though, here is the mos shocking revelation in that article:

One official who witnessed the extraordinary scene said afterwards: “Everyone was very surprised that he was making a joke about America’s record on pollution.”

    Really?

It would only have been more newsworthy had he belched after said statement.

Also, yes, it was MOS DEF shocking to Brown and Sarkozy, because they would never say such things. Never.
