Teenagers are so insensitive, yet display a disarming sincerity in their observations. My little (still in high school) cousin writes, “Packers are gonna be horrible next year. As in win 3 games and only 3 games.”
Isn’t he cute?
Maitri: “I think they’ll win more than 3 games, butwill not make it to the playoffs. What do you expect during the first season with a new QB and after your star QB just left? They have a lot of training to do, and I think Aaron Rodgers is up to the challenge if he doesn’t injure himself several times.”
Cousin: “He isnt and that was probably the packers stupidest draft pick ever lol. If the packers are gonna get anywhere they need a quarterback or they are only gonna win 3-4 games.”
Makes me want to pinch his widdle cheeks.
Maitri: “a) There was no point in drafting a good QB when all he would do is play second string to Favre (which means play 3 minutes all season) and then go off to become the starting QB for another team. See Matt Hasselbeck, Ty Detmer, Doug Pederson and a whole host of others. b) You do realize that we will very likely grab a QB this off-season.”
Ever eager to prove that some Americans do care about stuff besides sports and entertaiment, I now solicit any feedback on today’s voting exercise in Ohio and Texas.
You forgot Aaron Brooks. I’ve heard he’s available, maybe you could get him back?
Funny that you mention Brooks. A Bears fan friend wants us to take him back, too. We had great fun with Jim McMahon on the team as backup QB that one season, much to the chagrin of our ursine buddies to the south.
The Packers will be fine. That’s actually a pretty good team they’ve got there. All Rogers has to be is competent and they’ll win 10 games.
