Day 876: Always Proud To Be A Packer Fan

They may be sleeping in the doghouse for the next few days, but I will forever love Brett Favre and my Green Bay Packers. Even when we lose, I am proud to be a Packerbacker. The only reason D and I weren’t freezing our behinds off with friends at Lambeau Field tonight was last night’s Krewe du Vieux parade.

The youngest team in the NFL will be back next year, better and stronger. Go Pack Go! On Wisconsin!

It was 25 below zero with the wind chill! I was freezing just watching the game. My Uncle was a huge Packer-Vince Lombardi fan. He hated the Giants. I wonder what his reaction would have been. It was a great game, even though I am not as avid a profootball fan as I used to be. The Pack has nothing to be ashamed of.

Actually, the whole playoffs have been great this year, especially given (perhaps because?) “my” team(s) didn’t make it so I can watch without too much emotion. The Packers played a great game. I was thinking about you, pulling for them. You got to be at the better game, with all the snow. Sorry, darlin’.

I had to come and offer my support on the loss yesterday. I was here last year so I know how you feel. I actually think the cold worked against you guys. It’s not like the old days when players played for the same team for years. That cold affected everybody.

I look forward to seeing Brett and The Packers coming to the Dome next year to play the Saints in the NFC championship game.

Well, we have a bunch of rookies and young ‘uns who aren’t used to the Frozen Tundra, and we just didn’t have it against the Giants defense. I hope this same defense gives Tom Brady and his offensive line a run for their money.

That’s right, the Pack are playing down here next season. You know I’ll represent in my green and gold jersey and cheesehead.

My good friend Shehateme is a Wisconsin native. Sunday was her birthday.. which a bunch of us spent watching in disbelief as the Giants stole away with that one. This will be a very boring Super Bowl. Thank God we have the Hulk Hogan show that night.
