No way, Adrastos! Admiration of Pi is rational and wonderful. I wish more people would recognize what wonderful benefits come from such sublime constants of mathematics. Other nations honor their masters of science on their money; we continue to praise politicians. Sadly the only science the general public is interested in is limited to wii, ipod and home theater.

At my brother’s office at Epic Systems in Madison, WI everyone gets free pie on Pi-Day. Fantastic! If I had to choose between a job that pays $50,000 and offers nothing or a job that pays $30,000 and offers free pie on pi-day, you can bet that I’m going with that one. It says a lot about the company.
