Make that “authoritarian rule is simply not gonna be acknowledged in public, if we in power can have total control over that”.
You are obviously with the terrorists.
Well, you said it. This administration has taken typical political BS to a new level, and you’ve pointed out an excellent example. Liprap is right, and the spin has been so big for so long that I’m just dizzy. “Healthy Forests” “Clean Skies” “NCLB” are all so nice sounding, and waaaay too much of our population doesn’t think beyond the slogan or read beyond the headline.
Dave, don’t say that too loud, now. I’ll end up with the DOJ on my blog-step, same as Ashley Morris.
Like your beery blog, BTW. Beer is TRULY evidence that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
Thanks, liprap. NOLA unfortunately seems deficient in the craft beer department. I hope that will change in the future, though from talking to some beer lovers down there, they aren’t too optimistic.
Hey, Dave, our Krewe du Vieux subkrewe may want to hire your beer-making abilities, or at the least, your recipes.
Maitri, I haven’t brewed in years and have mostly forgotten what I knew, but I have many beer geek and brewer friends (and my brother is King of the Homebrewers), so let me know what you need and I’ll see what I can do…
Watch out, Dave. She’s just bitter because her group was last in the KdV parade this year. Of course, my group was second from last so perhaps I’m bitter too.
How we line up has nothing to do with the beer. First place gets first spot, that’s all. We were last because some hack of a Tulane statistician (who belongs to KduV) said that’s how the numbers fell. Our very own geeks, John Dubberley and me, disagree. A full Monte Carlo analysis will be performed and presented at the next Captain’s meeting. Or not.
Regardless, my hubby is a brewer – he’s just not a motivated one when he wants to work on Theme, Costumes and Float more.
Maybe one of these days, I can check with my parents and see if there is some unused distilling equipment still skulking around their research labs. Might be good for some kinda beer production.
Isn’t there a homebrew shop located on Magazine, just on the uptown side of Napoleon, folks?
Oh, you want me to get in the middle of an intra-krewe squabble? Well, I don’t know about that. (Maybe if I could be an honorary member or something.)
No, nothing scandalous like that. Just want to win the homebrew thing for a change. Never mind – nothing to see here. Thanks for playing!
Oh, and that homebrew shop is no more. Up In Smoke has replaced it, I believe. UGH.
Yup, Brew Ha Ha is no more.
Have you talked to Steve? From the too-brief time I got to hang out with him, he seemed to know his stuff.
I have a super-duper awesome recipe I developed with my brother, but it involves a special ingredient from the South Pacific.
