If you want to know exactly what I do for a living, go to the New Orleans Convention Center this week and listen to some of the conversations going on in the front lobby. The SEG annual meeting came to me this year – how convenient – I’m having a blast walking the exhibits floor, running into old colleagues and meeting new ones. Unless you want to hear about implications of wavelet analysis to reservoir quality or calibrating prestack depth migration volumes with well control, blogging will be a tad on the light side this week.
Await pictures from the inside and outside of the cleaned and improved Convention Center. At the icebreaker last night, I completely forgot that this was the site of one of our nation’s worst tragedies. First the Superdome, then the Convention Center – slowly the city tries to erase the squalor associated with the New Orleans known via the mainstream media.
“floorm”?
Yes, a floorm, a forum on the floor. Just kidding!
Is that like light beer?
Speaking of which, I sampled a Hefeweizen at Oktoberfest the other evening. Not bad, for being so far away from the source.
Call me when you come up for air. We just got home from Indy.
