Day 361: Taking Names

Joel alerts me to a horrifying story in the Shreveport Times

Nine black children attending Red River Elementary School were directed last week to the back of the school bus by a white driver who designated the front seats for white children … The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People [is] considering filing a formal charge with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Red River Elementary School bus driver, you’re on notice!  This is 2006, not 1956.

Thanks to Ashley for pointing us to the Stephen Colbert “You’re On Notice” Generator.

Check out Schroeder‘s and Lisa‘s notice boards, too.

Update: And those of Adrastos and Ray Ray.

Yeah, I thought that at least the cockroach population would have been decimated by flooding, but they’ll be the last inhabitants on Earth.

Yes, men who dress like Middle School Boys.
I wish I could put this on my blog but I have been told to calm down

Right on, Maitri! Palmetto bugs. I think giving enormous cockroaches that are not only huge, but fly (and usually right at your face or upper chest) such a pleasant name must be some sort of coping mechanism.

Hmmm, what do y’all think Chartreuse is on? A giant palmetto bug?
