We lived in New Orleans until Katrina forced us out.  Now we live in Houma.  We evacuated for Gustav.  We were amazed at the news covering the hurricane.  Everything mentioned New Orleans.  Next to nothing was mentioned about Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes where the hurricane actually came ashore.

Thank you for getting the news out about our communities.  And for many in the lower lying areas, the double whammy of having Ike pass by so soon after was devastating.  Many are still picking up the pieces with a long road ahead.

We need people like you to spread the word.  Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.</description>
