Read this from Humid Haney. I really hope someone made the whole story up or that the offending party was wrongly identified as the City Councilwoman for whom I voted. It would be a shame to have Haney make me a t-shirt that says Yankee B**** which I will then wear to City Council meetings and any other gathering at which Head is present. (Seriously, I want this encounter proved false for Head’s and the city’s sake.)

It’s actually not a big deal either way. If she really said that, I can’t say I’m terribly offended or surprised that City Councilpersons behave this way.
It’s just that a lot of people seem to expect their pols to be these wonderful exemplary personalities and I do enjoy seeing that notion knocked about a bit.
I think I’d rather find that it’s true. It has some verisimilitude and passes Oyster’s BS meter. Let me try some old school oracular devices: urim and thummim say it’s true, and eight ball says “signs point to yes.”
I emailed the name link and she swears its true, and her husband has sent that letter to the Times Picayune. So I went with it.

I’m skeptical of the story. Trolls have email addresses too. Has anybody asked Head?

I’ve tried a back door approach to some mutual friends. Glad I’m not the only one to be dubious.
Celcus is skeptible, too. Check his comments at Varg’s. I myself can’t help but feel we’re getting a tad too much mileage outta this…
And like me, Celcus has had direct dealings with Ms. Head.
Adrastos: Are you saying that your having had dealings with Head makes her clean? If anything she needs extra-scrubby soap (ducks). :-)
I’ve interacted with her as well with positive and negative outcomes and she has always been professional, but that isn’t really saying much.
