Day 722: New Orleans, B Negative Blood Needed

Leigh Hoke is a paralegal in New Orleans whose new 8 week old baby boy is undergoing brain surgery at Children’s Hospital on Sunday, August 26. Brennan Hoke has a very rare blood type, B negative, and requires several pints of blood to be on hand for his surgery. The family is seeking donors from the community.

If you or anyone you know has blood type B negative and is willing to donate for Brennan’s surgery, please contact Brennan’s aunt, Joie Cutrer, at 504-390-8588 or The Blood Center at 504-887-2833.  Specify that you will be donating for Brennan Hoke when calling.

Update: Brennan’s surgery was successful!  The blood is no longer needed.
